+9 Miles of Connected Trail

The 9.5 mile trail is planned as a hub and spoke with the central point being King Carter Golf Course, formerly Hills Quarters, a community gathering spot since the founding of Virginia.

The TriWay Trail will serve as a recreational, scenic, cultural and historic resource and will provide a key, off-road, connection to many local businesses, schools, parks, restaurants, and places of interest within Kilmarnock, White Stone, and Irvington in Lancaster County, Virginia.
The trail will carefully connect to and move through the business centers and some of the most attractive areas of our community including the Northern Neck YMCA, Irvington Village Green, Kilmarnock Town Center Park, and Rappahannock General Hospital.
With this trail, we have a unique opportunity to tell the story of the Northern Neck, which has a rich, important, and complex history. Building the TriWay will allow us to create a “living history book” for the region, offering lessons of the past, information about the present and aspirations for the future.
"We believe this trail can provide a valuable link to improve the physical fitness of our staff, patients and community at large."
                                             -
Alan Bailey, VP Administrator, Rappahannock General Hospital
